Fall. Continuing On…

Autumn continues to fall on mid-Michigan like a pumpkin to the head and I continue as best I can to get out in the woods.

The past few days I spent more time riding the borrowed, don’t wanna give it back, but I have to or they’ll call the cops on me Superfly 100. I continue to think it’s one of the swellest full suspension 29er bikes I have ridden.

When I left for my ride Saturday I hoped to do two or even three laps and get in 32 to 48 miles. As I neared the end of my first 16 mile lap, I was feeling fine but then had the realization of  “Hey, this bike isn’t mine.” Right there I knew I shouldn’t go out on any more laps. Because if there is one thing I know, it is that I am a schleprock and having that realization would sure as shit guarantee that in the next few miles I would taco a wheel, break a frame or rip a derailleur off a bike that is not mine. So I headed home. I figure I have almost 50 miles on a bike not mine, that’s good enough and I should return it real soon… before I break it. Or bikenap it.

On my way home from the trails I stopped to fill the xB’s tank up with gas while we still have money in our not getting a paycheck ‘cause politicians are assholes bank account and noticed the above sacks of carrots– Deer bait is a sure of sign that fall in Michigan is upon us. I assume it’s deer bait, for all I know someone at the gas station might be trying to catch a giant rabbit.
