I’m not sure how it happened, but I SOMEHOW got myself up and out the door for a quick dirt road ride before B’s match today. Sure, up at 8 AM and riding by 9:05 shouldn’t be that big of a deal to most people, but most people aren’t the big, fat ball of slack that I am.
A quick 26 mile Better Than The Trainer Ride™ was just what I needed and I was happy that I forced my slack ass out the door.
Once home there was time for little else but a shower and a cup of coffee before heading off to watch B’s match.
B and his teammates played well today and managed a 1-1 draw with a tough Bay City team, which brings MP to 1-0-3 on the season. The boys played hard and B scored a long-range goal midway through the second half to tie the game. That was a nice bonus for him and for a proud footy-dad like me.
Another match tomorrow and hopefully a dirt road ride with my buddy Chris afterwards. Sadly, the forecast is for STRONG winds, so this may change.
