Oh, ESI Grips…. How I love thee…. I how hate installing thee.
For years I used Ergon grips and bar ends. Then for some reason my hands started rejecting them. My fingers would become numb and positioning became a pain in the ass (actually a pain in the hands to be more precise). On to ESI Chunky Grips I went and I never looked back. They are super lightweight, comfortable (to me) and I can use the whatever stubby bar ends I like. But…
As great as I think ESI grips are, they can suck for getting on. In the past I had no real issues; a little bit of rubbing alcohol and some man hand twisting and shoving got them on just fine.
This time, not so much. My hand model days are finished! FINISHED!!!
In hindsight I probably should have put a pair of gloves before commencing the twisting and shoving.
