Misses and Hits

NOT REALLY QUARANTINED DAY ____.

I was motivated, well, at least as motivated as I can get during Pandemic-A-Go-Go 2020, to get myself over to Meridian Park on Thursday to continue my stalking of one of the resident bald eagles. I know where it hangs, and I was ready with my big ass 600mm lens.

Exciting Times Indeed

NOT REALLY QUARANTINED DAY ____.

After getting up at my regular Pandemic-A-Go-Go 2020 time of ten to a quarter after 10 o’thirty on Monday, I wrote something about Sunday’s hike, said I was going to do something out in the gusting winds; then didn’t. Then I went for groceries later that afternoon.

While paying up, there was a man (6 feet) behind me in the checkout line fully ensconced in various shades of camo, sporting an American flag germ mask, and a hat supporting an orange, unhinged deranged totalitarian for President in 2020. Then I became a bit unhinged myself, came home, poured a drink, edited my earlier post a bit out of boredom, and then added a rant1 about said, man. Exciting stuff in the land of (un) soiled COVID-era chamois these days.

On The Outside

NOT REALLY QUARANTINED DAY ____.

Another weekend of Pandemic-A-Go-Go-ing is in the books. That Go-Go-ing offered little of anything other than a short ride on Saturday, a brief escape to the woods with my camera on Sunday, and more attempts to forget what modern life has become via spirits made in Cameron Bridge.

Two For One

NOT REALLY QUARANTINED DAY ____.

I woke up Friday morning to a light dusting of snow on the ground (Welcome to Michiganderburgh). Thankfully that would soon melt off, but the temps would never get above 40˚, and the wind was coming right from the Witch’s nip tip. In other words, it was a good day to head out for a woodsy walk with my camera.

Everything in One Day

NOT REALLY QUARANTINED DAY ____.

After Tuesday’s WEDNESDAY’S walk in the woods was ruined, I was determined not to let weather, online appointments, Pandemic-A-Go-Go 2020, or the ever-raging fire of slack that burns in my belly, prevent me from getting outside to do something. Anything.

Hydroxychloroquine Might Be My Jam

NOT REALLY QUARANTINED DAY ____.

NOTE: This post has been updated at the request of Soiled Chamois, Inc.’s legal department. See footnote 2.

After two solid days of pandemic inspired “meh,” I fully expected to wake up dick whipped in the face with another dose. Thankfully that didn’t happen.

Stupid Normal

NOT REALLY QUARANTINED DAY ____.

In the realm of Pandemic-A-Go-Go 2020, things aren’t too bad for me right now: my family has remained healthy, Wifey is an essential employee who can work from home, and B is maintaining his sanity with a strict, self-imposed fitness routine and online gaming with friends until his school district figures out how the hell to finish the year.

A Wet Escape

NOT REALLY QUARANTINED DAY ____.

Friday night, I did Friday night things, and some of those things were done in close proximity to Wifey. And if I had to guess, I’d say those things were done well within a 6′ radius of her. I also sat my ass on the back porch by myself and enjoyed the sunny, warm (60˚!) spring evening with a tasty beverage or three. All of that was a great way to end a day of running (or riding) away from problems via exercise and high ABVs.
