Today I shot out for a quick hour and a half dirt road ride before a lunch meeting with Wifey. A bit of hard packed dirt, some deep sandy gravel, a nice headwind and some long steady elevation gain (still talking hundred of feet here, leave the high fives for later) made for a fun way to burn some calories off of my hulking figure and gelatinous thighs which have started more and more to resemble raw pork shanks.
As I mentioned the other day, one must be careful of road debris on the rural roads;. might be dirt, might be mud, might be shit. Today it was shit. (Note the difference in road surfaces. One packed dirt, one deepish sandy gravel. No point to be made, just sayin’).
I passed by the Smiley Face Barn today (not sure why they call it that).
And that was about it… dirt roads, gavel, corn, horse shit and a link to look at raw meat. Thank me later.
