After three days of failed ride attempts (the trainer doesn’t count), I was able to get out for a shortish ride that was mostly pavement with a five mile stretch of dirt roads thrown in (mostly due to the fact that the pavement changed to dirt and I had no other choice).
Today was the first time that I could start lessening the winter layers and get some sun on some skin not my face. Yep, I got to wear me some knee warmers today and give my calves some of the Vitamin D they’ve been craving for the last six months.

Nothing says “I’m not a REAL roadie” like a wearing full fingered mountain bike gloves.
At times I thought I may have been overdressed with a jacket and a base layer, but it turned out to be perfect. That combined with the Dickies wool socks on my tootzies made everything bearable, even the crisp wind.

If the deer won’t fit in the box, just lay it beside, it’ll be fine.
I would have preferred to get out for longer than an hour and forty minutes today, but I would also prefer to be rail thin and super rich. So I will take a 100 minute road ride, shut my mouth and be happy.
Hoping for some longer rides as the week goes on, but will be happy with anything right now.
Later.
