We here in the mid-Michigan area are enjoying a nice run of fall weather featuring abundant sunshine, blue skies, cold nights, and comfortable mid-50˚ days.

While the days have indeed been beautiful, more than half of each hike I’ve done has been in the dark and pre-sunrise dawn. Well, at least for a few more days. Having said that, it’s been nice to be out in the sunshine during my near-daily leaf cleanups and outdoor chores.

Due to the timing of my morning hikes, the critter activity is low, and most, if any, of my shots have been coming within the last mile or two of the hike. Not ideal, but again, it’ll be changing soon.

Speaking of that, I finally got a shot of a deer today, which helped my lackluster confidence a tad, and that came at mile 4.93 of a 6-mile loop.

Three days and 18.33 miles done, two days and 11.67 miles to go.

Time to get shit done, ’cause Spurs play at Newcastle in the Carabao Cupity-Cup-Cup at 4 PM (EST). I fully expect them to lose, given that they have TEN first-team players hurt, but you never know. ‘C’MON YOU SPURS!!!
