B-Man had his last match of the regular season down in Lansing on Sunday evening, so I snuck out for a quick 35 mile dirt road ride before we had to get ready and make the drive. The temps were crisp to say the least, with a start time temp of 39˚ and a steady breeze from the north, but it was awesome to get out and enjoy the sunny fall day.
There continues to be a ton of harvest activity out in the fields and almost every field I passed had work going on.
During the ride I waffled from feeling like shit (going into the headwind), feeling amazing (enjoying the tailwind) and feeling pretty darn average (wobbling with the cross winds). I had the x100s with me and snapped a few pics here and there. Some were good, some were not.
It seems that since my last trip north of town, some local artists took it upon themselves to do some male enhancements to some stop signs. Some chose the direct written word to convey their message…
And some chose to be a bit more illustrative…
I’ve done a lot of stupid shit in my life (like this blog), but I have to say that it has never really occurred to me to write or draw a penis on a stop sign. Especially a stop sign that around five people a day might see.
I made it back in plenty of time to clean up, eat some crap leftover pizza and head down to Lansing for the match. B played well, but Lansing was just a far superior team in almost every way.
The MPSC U12 boys got blown out, but still had a great season and this match represented their only loss of the season in which they finished 2-1-3. One more match in a couple weeks (provided there is no snow on the ground), but it’s just a friendly which doesn’t count towards the season. I love watching B play, seeing his enthusiasm for the game and his talent grow. I couldn’t be more proud.
Skipping a Monday ride because it’s blowing like an M-eph, and to pack up and ship some eBay goods along with my house duties and screwing off (writing this crap) before I take B to practice tonight.
Later.
