No, no, no, the “something different” in the title of this has nothing to do with my ride today. The ride was more of the blessed same. It’s all more to do with the fact that I had started a post about something, but decided to save all that for another day. Today’s ride was merely dirt and paved road miles on the CX bike to try and burn off more blubber.
Today was a good day for a ride: it was a bit overcast, warm (enough), not too windy (thankfully!) and it made today’s 35 32 mile dirt road/paved road ride seem all too short and more than a little sweet.
I guess it was different in that I chose to get the bulk of the pavement miles over with at the beginning of the ride, saving the dirt for the meaty, sweet crotch of the ride. But none of that had any real influence on the ride.

While I kinda, sort of, wish there was something noteworthy about this ride, there really wasn’t. Since this blog post is REAL close to being me just blathering about a quick 35 32 mile ride, I will nip it in the bud and just post some pics from today’s cruise through the Michiganderburgh farm lands which were busy with tractors in nearly every field laying the groundwork for the crops in the season to come.
Hoping to head up to ride some singletrack tomorrow. Of course all of that rests on me having the motivation to swap out some pedals. God knows I can’t spare 5 minutes from my busy day of non-business.
