This is Breathable?

The week of lumbering continued this morning with a 6+ mile loop in, how should I say this politely, 70˚ swamp-ass conditions at 6:20 in the damn morning. I think I had sweat through every piece of “breathable” clothing I had on. Stink. Stank. Stunk. I felt like I had become a wet fart in human form!

The hot and humid conditions also had the critter sightings few and far between. I saw a couple of birds here and there, including what I believe is a humorously named Eastern Wood Pewee. But for the most part is was some squirrels, chipmunks, and a friendly and photogenic Wood Turtle just making its way up out of the water as I was finishing up.

This also marks one of the few times I have gone more than one hike without seeing any deer at all! A sure sign that the nearby farm fields are offering more than the hot, humid woods.

Looks like at least one more hot one tomorrow morning, which is better than saying looks like one more cold as tits one tomorrow.

Later.
