Thursday Randomness

The photo above was taken during my road ride on Wednesday, the amount of farmland that I roll by during any given ride never ceases to amaze me. That field rolled on for a bout a mile or two to my left and was surely replaced by another soon after. It’s not that I didn’t roll by farms and field back in PA, I rode by plenty, but none that were the size of the farms that I see here. Every spring and summer I am left but with nothing but respect for farmers.  It’s also cool to see how the fields go from fresh tilled dirt to waves of green corn, soy and wheat each year.

Today was a beautiful–although be it– gusty day here in the middle of the murder mitten. Despite the warmer temps I hunkered down at Maury Ballstein’s to continue my strength training. In years past I’ve stopped my membership from April thru October since I would rather ride. That still holds true, but this time I have decided to keep the membership going. I figure I can squeeze in a few hours over the span of a week in the name of maintaining the strength I worked the past five months working on.

With today’s gym workout out of the way, I can now enjoy the next two days of warmer temps, getting some more dirt road miles in and the possibility of FINALLY shedding my cold weather gear. I wonder if central Michigan is ready for me to unleash my pasty white meat sticks? Probably not, but I am going to do it anyway.

I am happy to say that Wifey and I did find ONE of our car titles. It was in a drawer that I searched at least 50 times and didn’t see it. Today I opened the drawer up and it was laying right on top. It was REALLY freaky. I blame Saint Anthony. TONY!!!! With that bit of paperwork found we can pick up our new ride on Saturday and say goodbye to our jank clown car and then worry about getting my dead xB replaced when we get back to PA soon. UG!

Later.
