Last week kind of sucked. I did a dirt road ride on Monday due to a continued issue with my right foot, but I wasn’t really into it, so I headed back into the woods at 85% fitness and had next to no fun and only got 16.5 miles in my aching feetz.
I once again took the weekend off from any outdoor fitness activities and committed to stretching, resting, and watching the last weekend of Premiere League football until August.
Come Monday morning, I was itching to get out to stomp some miles. However, every so often, I get hit with an unknown, and thus far undetected by Doctor Bob, stomach issue that has been coming and going for the last few years. Whatever it is, it puts my stomach into a gassy, cramping knot and keeps me bathroom-bound for hours at a time. It’s like giving birth while dealing with food poisoning. It’s gross and exhausting, and I—nor my doctor—have any idea what causes it. So, with that, my day was ruined.

After three days off my feet, my foot was feeling a bit better, and my stomach seemed to have now rebounded. So, I headed out for a 5.25 lumber in the woods, still wet from last night’s storms.
My foot was “good enough,” and after a few hikes without images of worth, I finally got a few that I dig, and I hope you do, too.

All the photos here today were taken during Tuesday’s hike with the z50, except for the blue jay. I took that one with the z6 while my stomach recovered on Monday.
Hoping for more miles this week and no more time in the bathroom.
Later.
