The Mink & The Crow

I got out for another lumber early Tuesday morning just as the sun was coming up.

The trails were icy, of course, and there wasn’t much critter activity, but I managed to get some photos of a mink scurrying along the riverbank about 3 miles in.

I have seen a few minks so far this winter/pre-spring, but this is the first real photo I got of one.

I took a crap pic of some minks a few years ago when we were up north, but they were on some rocks in town by the river. So, it was sort of like seeing a goose in a park. This mink was out doing real mink things and was far bigger than any of the previous ones I’ve seen.

I only took a few pics today, but anytime I bag a photo of “new” critter in the wild, I’m happy. I was also happy with another 6 miles in my feetz.

Later.
